Day of Mourning 2016

Every year thousands of people gather around the world on April 28th to observe the National Day of Mourning.

The purpose of Day of Mourning is twofold – to remember and honor those lives lost or injured because of their work and to renew the commitment to prevent further deaths, injuries and diseases by improving health and safety in the workplace.

As part of OSSA’s commitment to “An Incident Free Workforce” we take this time to recommit ourselves to achieving this goal.  So please join us on April 28th at the J. Howard Pew Memorial Family Park in Waterways for the 11am and/or the 7pm remembrance services.

We would also like to remind everyone of the North American Occupational Safety and Health week commences May 1st – May 7th, and the theme this year is “What’s Your Reason?”

So please…..Find your reason to be safe!
